Attached are pieces of concept are that we managed to produce in our last few meetings. These sketches server a dual purpose; not only do they allow us to further characterise our protagonist/antagonist, but also give Harris practice with using a graphics tablet as he’ll be doing almost all of the sketching for the animation sequences.
The sketches below are by no means final (regardless of what Harris thinks, he just gets a bit gushy when he’s proud) and will be altered. We’re aware that the sketches have a negligible resemblance to the actors who play the characters, but for the time being we intend to give the anime-style alter-egos a distinctly different look to further exaggerate and stylise the fight scenes.
I’ll explain in detail the implications of and the reasoning behind these sketches later, but as it stands I can look forward to 4/5 hours of sleep, so it’ll have to wait. The real reason this post is up and yet unfinished is that Harris wouldn’t shut up about posting HIS artwork (the twit loves showing off, and yet forgets that not only did I edit some of these pictures to make them look better, but I also showed him how to use MY GOD DAMN TABLET)...
